The Tempest

But It’s Queer and Dungeons & Dragons

This December, Queer Artists & Players conjures a glittering queer fantasia of Shakespeare’s The Tempest!

A whirlwind of high fantasy, campy spectacle, and Dungeons & Dragons–inspired adventure: In this Shakes-Queer reimagination, the island becomes a realm of love, collaboration, chosen family, and LGBTQ+ freedom.

✨ Expect magic, drama, and plenty of queer mischief.

Synopsis

Six friends gather for a Dungeons and Dragons session and are pulled into a world of mysticism, power struggles, and lesbianism.

The campaign begins when a royal ship from the lands of HeTerra crashes into a fantastical island amid a terrible storm. While the group is torn asunder and desperate to find their companions, an evil sorcerer is controlling the inhabitants of the island.

Alliances are formed, wine is consumed, and schemes are hatched. However, as our Dungeon Master will soon prove, only the power of true sapphic love will set them free.
