Meet the Company

  • Aaron Olkin

    (he/him)

I'm excited to be returning for my second Qabaret at The Foundry and third production with The Queer Theater Project. A software engineer by day, I'm thrilled to be working with QTP to craft fun and exciting lighting and sound designs for this scintillating show. In my free time, I play a lot of TTRPGs and also enjoy various crafting projects including as a makerspace volunteer at The Foundry.

  • Aislinn Blute

    (she/they)

I am a full-time lab scientist in biotech out in the real world. I have always found creative activities in my life is a very necessary balance to my highly analytical way of working. I've always had theater as a constant in my life until the pandemic which canceled my last college production and I am thrilled to be in this Qabaret as my first show to return to the stage. I was honestly intimidated to join the world of community theater as an adult but once I found QTP I knew this was a space I'd feel comfortable and welcomed in! Hope you enjoy the show as much as we have in putting it together for you!

    (they/he)

I wear many hats (program director, therapist, singer, astrologer, partner, cat-parent) and I am a strong advocate for systemic CHANGE. This is my fourth production with QTP! I am supremely grateful for the opportunity to be my ND NB self while creating dazzling, subversive art with so many unique and talented friends!

  • Joanne (JB) Baranofsky

    (she/her)

JB is proud to stage manage the Qabaret for the second year in a row. It’s a lot less scary this time!! In her free time, she enjoys yoga, biking, reading a book every few months, and decorating seasonally. JB has been on stage for all QTP productions so far and has also acted with her high school, Pastimes Theatre, her college improv troop Resolved, and other smaller groups.

  • Kael Alberghini

    (he/they)

With childhood experience in the theatre, the return to creating amazing performances with Queer Theatre Company was fated for Kael. While he is based in Western MA, this company has been a passion that keeps him coming back. This is his directorial debut after years as an actor & technician and he couldn't be more proud of the performers who brought in exceptional ideas & thoughtful performances to make this directorial job pretty easy!

  • Raminta Holden / Minty Breakdown

    (she/her)

This is my third QTP production, my second Qabaret, and my first time performing in drag! In the daytime, I teach kindergarten. Thanks for coming on this journey with me!

  • Savannah Paul

    (she/her)

Honk honk! You may remember me from last year’s Qabaret when I yelled at my situationship and competed on the Bachelorx. Now I’m back to clown around and sing about mind-blowing sapphic sex! In the real world, I’m a pre-k teacher and a devoted mother to Fiona, my three-year-old tortie cat. Some of my interests include gymnastics, finding new foods to dump hot sauce on, belting at karaoke, and going down Wikipedia rabbit holes.

  • T Whynot

    (she/they)

Reality TV host extrodinare .. I love making a big deal out of super silly things for no reason other than the joy it brings me and my friends :)))

  • Rebeca Oliveira

    (she/her)

This is Beca's first time in the producer's role, but not her first time running a show. She's a founding member of QTP, having played Bottom in MidSummer, Malvolio in Twelfth Night, and directed this spring's Much Ado About Nothing. She is a mother, partner, knitter, gourmand, admin by day and multi-purpose weirdo by night.

  • Carly Dreme Calbreath

    (she/her)

Carly Dreme Calbreath is a California-born, Boston-based actor, writer, and educator with a particular passion for sci-fi, fantasy, and Shakespeare. She loves squishing mediums together in ways that work better for her brain and playing in mediums she doesn’t understand, but spends most of her time on film, theater, novels, and poetry. Carly is also a Jewish educator, Jewish Studio Project Fellow, cast member of Riot Improv, and founder/host of Grotesque Salon.

  • Hann Alexander Allen

    (he/they)

Hann Alexander is a lifelong artist, actor and lover of all things different and fabulous. He danced three years of burlesque during his college years back when he was a girl, and was eager to dip his toes back into the world of queer, sex-positive variety shows like the Queer Theatre Project was advertising, this time as a nonbinary man. They currently work as a tour guide in Boston, ready to bombard you with facts about the 1770s (while somehow always managing to get real Marxist with his tangents when the boss isn't around). He can usually be found spending time with his partners and friends, working on some sort of art project, and planning his next international trip.

  • Layne Alexandra

    (they/she)

Layne (like the road) is a theater-maker, feminist, apple-ripper extraordinaire. They obtained their Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory and are very…very… chill about it! Layne has way too many theater credits, it could bore a man; if you want to know more, just ask! You might even get a little Ted Talk out of it! They love to create theater that not only speaks, but roars. She is so excited to be back with QTP after making their debut as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing! Layne wants to thank QTP for all the love and acceptance, words can’t describe this love! She would also like to thank their sweet cat, Kabuki Louise 💛

  • Merry Merry

Merry Merry (Matt, he/him + Sherry, she/they) is a couple of reasonably clean hippies based in Somerville. They love tight, timeless songwriting, lush harmonies, tasty bass lines, and you. Get ready to be transported on a wave of sunny, surfy, shimmery bedroom pop and feel all the feelings.

  • Sky VerSteeg

    (they/them)

Sky is a researcher by day and lifelong theatre queerdo who is just happy to be a part of it!

  • Emily Radwin

    (she/her)

Emily is excited to make her QTP debut and is grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community! When she’s not playing unhinged characters, Emily enjoys spending time with loved ones, attending community events in Central Square, trying out new bars and restaurants, playing board games, binge-watching reality tv, and playing with any and all of the fur babies.

    Instagram

  • Muriel

    (they/she)

This is my QTP debut! By day I’m a process engineer and part-time high school rowing coach, and by night a musician, visual artist, athlete, host, barber (and now performer!). In my nonexistent free time, I enjoy building community and pushing myself to find new forms of self-expression. Thank you to T and the cast of the Ultimatum, and to everyone at QTP for a fun and welcoming environment; it’s been a blast!

    Instagram

  • Sky Karp

    (he/they)

Sky is thrilled to be returning to the QTP stage! He is passionate about devised theatre, playwriting, and dramaturgy. When not being silly onstage, Sky can be found weightlifting, exploring trans archives, or going on outdoor adventures. He promises he is not such a douchebag in real life and is currently accepting marriage proposals.

  • Viva Schmidheiny

    (they/she)

This is Viva's first QTP production, having made their stage debut in her school play last Spring. You may also recognize them from their ample comic, fashion, and girl scout cookie review work.
